A Special Event for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month - March 2025
in partnership with Vernon Township Mental Health Board
Share your vision of an inclusive world through art! We invite middle school students to illustrate what inclusion means to them and how we can create spaces where everyone belongs, regardless of abilities.
Your artwork can explore:
Ways to make our schools and communities more inclusive
What belonging looks like in action
Breaking down barriers and building connections
How different abilities enrich our community
Open to all students in grades 6-8
Individual entries only (no group submissions)
Must be original artwork and must not include images from any AI-generated work, third-party artwork, trademarks, or copyrighted images
One submission per student
Submissions can be created on a physical or digital canvas
Any medium of art is welcome, including drawings, paintings, collages, etc.
Maximum size: 8.5 x 11 inches for physical artwork
Digital files cannot exceed 10MB
Entries will be judged based on:
Creativity and originality
Connection to the theme of disability inclusion
Message and impact
Submission Deadline: April 14th, 2025
Winners Announced: April 30th, 2025
1st Place: $75
2nd Place: $50
3rd Place: $25
Winning artwork and selected entries will be featured on our website.
